I know this doesn't really matter to most of you/no one really cares, but I am just really proud of my team, so, too bad. :)

http://www.erugbynews.com/article.php?sec=474&a=4636

Basically, that link says UNC Women's Rugby is ranked #12 in DI Women's Collegiate Rugby in the nation! That means we're the 12th best women's rugby team in the country! We started this season unranked and have come SO far. We have just over 20 players, have had a lot of injuries, and have such a young team - the majority of our starters are sophomores (including me!). We went undefeated in our matrix season and shut out almost every matrix team. And we made it to Nationals (where I got my second black eye of the season) and did well there too, despite everything. It just makes me really excited for the next 2 years to see how far our team can go.

I'm so, so proud of us and am so excited! Eeee! :)

Okay, so, I wasn't tagged nor will I tag anyone, but as the queen of procrastination I decided to steal this from Roxy and do it anyways. (Plus, it took approximately 30 seconds to do...)

1. Go to the fourth folder where you store your pictures.
2. Find the fourth picture and post it.
3. Explain why you saved it.
4. Tag four others to do the same.

Rules: It's harder than it looks! Copy to your own note, erase my answers, and enter yours. Use the first letter of your name to answer each of the following questions. They have to be real . . . nothing made up! If the person before you had the same first initial, you must use different answers. You cannot use any word twice and you can't use your name for the boy/girl name question.

1. What is your name: Jamie

2. A four Letter Word: jabs

3. A boy's Name: Jacob

4. A girl's Name: Janet

5. An occupation: Joker (this is totally legit...)

6. A color: jade

7. Something you wear: jumper

9. A food: jelly beans

10. Something found in the bathroom: junk (okay, this is a bit of a cop out, but, seriously, people? J words are hard!)

11. A place: Jamestown

12. A reason for being late: jock strap broke (It's a reason for an athlete...)

13. Something you shout: Joy (to the world)!

14. A movie title: Jersey Girl

15. Something you drink: Juice

16. A musical group: Jars of Clay (all my other "J" singers were individual artists, not groups, so I tried to play fair)

17. An animal: jaguar

18. A street name: Juniper Lane (I'm not sure if this is a real street, but it sounds good)

19. A type of car: Jeep

20. The title of a song: Jesus take the wheel (by Carrie Underwood... often song during our Charleston trip at which point I would take hold of the wheel so Matthew could eat, nap, or pick up the dropped Milk Duds from the floor)

K, that is all. Off to eat some pokey stix and oh yea, not study ever again. :)

Mostly this was to show off my black eye...which is either from my Roommate beating me, a fight I got into with a girl in the dining hall (she bumped into me and I dropped my food... I called her a bitch and thus the catfight; but don't worry, she's in the ICU), or, possibly rugby. You pick. :D (Also, it looks much more intense in real life... I promise. You just can't see how my eyelid, etc. is bruised 'cause it's a crappy picture. haha)

[mood| Photobucket cold]
[music| Bell Tower is ringing... it's midnight.]

I wrote in a private entry yesterday that it rained throughout all of rugby practice, but it wasn't a hard, angry, heavy type of rain... Yea, that changed today. Between my 8am and 9am it was a crazy, torrential, insane, apocalyptic, flood-like downpour. I refused to walk to my 9am all the way across campus for a good 5 minutes before I finally gave in because there was no way the rain was getting any lighter. My pants and back and arms were completely and entirely soaked by the time I got there, a few minutes late, despite my umbrella. It was insane. The campus was just flooded... water was literally gushing at me when I walked up hill. The puddles were unavoidable and deep enough to go swimming in. I spent all of chem looking up rain boots online. Have yet to give in and buy them, though I probably will soon. Maybe when my last work check comes.

Ate lunch with 2 rugby girls (Kimber and Annie Clark) and someone else who doesn't play, but is friends with the majority of the team. I knew her by name, but it was nice to officially meet her. It was a good lunch and I'm glad Kimber saw me and whatnot. I was kinda unsure about joining them, just because I didn't know the one girl, (CK) but she was extremely nice and I'm glad I did.

Did a lot of little things today, including laundry. Yay. I love clean clothes. And, the Carmichael dryers are WAY better than the HoJo ones. My clothes were warm! It was so nice. :) Also, our A/C is finally fixed and I checked a book that I like out of the library today. So, yay for nice little things. Boo for big bad things, like, just about anything related to Pharmacy and/or studying. haha.

Had a Pharmacy interest meeting tonight. I've already been to two of them, so, I didn't really learn a lot, but, it was good to hear all the information again and just ask some of my last few lingering questions about the PCATS and the application. I feel fairly confident, as of right now, but, that will probably change as the application due date gets closer and I'm waiting on an interview.

After that I had an unexpected rugby officers meeting which was only an hour long, but fairly intense. There's a lot going on as far as the team goes... we're really trying to be a better team. We have a lot of potential, everyone (our coach, other coaches, alumni, other teams, our older players) says it, and, we just need to find a way to focus it and make everything come together. I'm really grateful for the leaders (Peg, Martha, VA, Hogan, Margaret, Kimber...) that we have on the team, I definitely think they know what they're talking about and are great assets for our team to have.

Walked back to the room in more torrential downpour... it pretty much has been going on all day, with a few hours of reprieve here and there just to psych you out. What? You went outside with an umbrella because it stopped for 5 minutes? Ha. Idiot. Yeaaaa. I'm pretty sick of the rain, can ya' tell? haha.

Called my dad and registered to take the PCATs again while I'm home in October. It's pretty much necessary that I improve my chem. score and either improve my other scores or keep them in the same area. So, it'll be fun studying for those again...

Said goodbye to my family from overseas that are leaving tomorrow. I love my uncles and aunts and cousins on my dad's side a lot. It's weird, as far as my extended family goes... I barely ever talk to anyone on my mom's side of the family. But, my dad's side... I'm the princess. I'm the only Sebaaly girl and all of my Uncles were around when I was a baby/little and so, that's how they still see me. They're just really affectionate to me and are always giving me kisses and hugs and I love being around them. It sucks that most of my dad's family lives overseas and I see them, like, once a year, max. Or, some of them, I haven't even ever met at all...

So, pretty much, it's bed time...(aka, shower, read, and then bed, even though I have NOT studied for chem at all, which is kinda really bad, especially since I was planning on doing a lot of it today...)

*shrugs* What can I say? I make poor choices. haha.

Back at Carolina. Being here makes me feel like the summer didn't even happen. It's so weird... everything looks the same and the campus is so familiar. It's not quite like going home, but, it does feel like I never even left, and I guess that's a good thing. I can't say I'm really looking forward to classes - though my TR schedule is identical to Alisha's and that makes me breathe a sigh of relief. I just am waiting to get into the swing of things and it sucks to be feeling unsettled since all my stuff is still in NY. Flying here was a hassle as always; they lost my luggage and only because Matthew is an all-star did I have it the same night. But, I really think I just need to give myself this week to settle in... it's just hard when classes start tomorrow and I already have lab and a pre-lab assignment (haven't done it yet... oops...will tomorrow since lab's not till 5).

So far, things here have been good. I loved Fall Fest... got henna and saw my rugby girls and didn't even have to fulfill much of my OSSA obligation. And, of course, it's fun having a roommate again, I'm so lucky to be living with one of my bests (And, even if it weren't for the cheesecake she got me, it'd be good! :D). Then, today was a bit of a pain...getting my clicker for MCRO tomorrow... bought the book online due to save 30 bucks, but it's not going to get here for at least a week. Also made stops at Wachovia and Alpine. :D Yay free bagel!

Ate dinner with Christine - it was good to see her since she'll be in Argentina all semester. After that went to listen to the a capella groups on campus sing and hearing Carolina in my Mind and then ending with Hark the Sound and I'm a Tar Heel born definitely made me feel like I was HERE. It's weird, because I really feel like I have these two completely separate lives and I can't see a way for them to ever merge which would, without a doubt, be the most ideal thing to ever happen to me. I don't like the idea of one day having to decide between here and Buffalo. Why can't I just transplant Buffalo and Lancaster to NC?

Important things I still need to do include getting the rest of my books, work on my Pharmacy school application, sign up for the PCATs, pay my bill, check on my summer school transcript, and email work to tell them when I can start... I'd also like to write a summer and wedding post, but, we'll see when I have time for that, haha.

Also important is to go to bed... So, night. xoxo.

Things that made/make me happy/giggle today:

-The kid in my class who had his shirt on inside out, with a ridiculously prominent Abercrombie and Fitch label showing. (As Amanda and I decided, Physics, 8AM, and getting dressed clearly don't mix.)

- The sub teacher we had today sounded JUST like Arnold Schwarzenegger. (also, I spelled that wrong and Firefox corrected it... Wow. I wish I were famous enough to have my name in spell check...)

- One of my lab partner's name is one letter away from being "Armpit". (It's Arpit. Is that even a name?)

- I had Chinese food for lunch. While driving. (Talent, thy name is Jamie.)

- Pat's description of the female dorks at RIT. (Video game music... sans video games?)

- Rugby with Rachel in an hour-ish.

- The caramel Moo-latte I had this morning, courtesy of Rachel and Dairy Queen. (It was delicious, but did little to keep me awake. This is probably my own fault.)

- Friends are coming over tonight. <333

- Grey's season finale (which, I won't watch till tomorrow in a post-wisdom teeth removal drug-induced state).

I think that's all for now. I'll add more later, if needed.

First day of summer school. Oh, the joys. Except, you know, not. It's at 8AM every day which is problem enough, but, since I have to get up and drive there too? Yea, no thanks.

We have at least 2 quizzes a week, 2 homework assignments due every week, 3 exams (2 of which are on Saturdays! SATURDAY!?!), and other various things that are made of suck. I know my grade doesn't factor into my Carolina GPA, but, the letter grade will be visible when I apply to Pharmacy school, I think.

Came back after class and slept. (Let's not talk about how my PCAT studying is going). Then, woke up and realized I had to go back to UB to get my student ID number (sorry, my person number), my password, and made a second attempt in finding the bookstore.

I gave Amanda the long version, but, basically everyone at UB is a moron. They call their student ID numbers "person numbers" and so every time I asked how I could find out my student ID number, I got blank stares. Seriously. This happened at least 3 times. No one could make the connection from person number to student ID numbers. It was ridiculous. I mean, at UNC we call them PID numbers, but if you asked me for my student ID number, I wouldn't be confused! Like, really now?

Also, everyone kept insisting that I needed to buy a UB ID card to get my ID number. However, these cost 20 dollars and I will NEVER use it. Ha. Yea right. I'm not wasting my money. I don't even think the Carolina ones cost that much. So, I had to go to the Student Response Center. Of course, the lady who directed me there called it the SRC. At Carolina, the SRC is the Student Recreation Center aka our gym. So, when she first said it, I'm like, I have to go to the GYM to get an ID number? What the hell?

Not to mention the fact that I do NOT know the UB campus and was somewhat lost and parked 8 miles away from everything. Plus, the bookstore doesn't have the book we need yet... Ugggh. It was frustrating, in any case.

After all the UB drama, picked Manda up and we went to the mall to fix her camera, the car wash to get the bugs off my windshield (they had committed suicide there during the trip to RIT), and then to dinner at TGI Friday's. Yum! Dessert was at Antoinette's and then home for Gossip Girl and One Tree Hill. Both season finales were terribly disappointing. :( Especially Gossip Girl's. LAME!

I am RIDICULOUSLY exhausted right now. Tomorrow's going to be a long day too. Actually, the next 6 weeks are going to be long...

Last 100 words and they’re from my dining room table. So far, being home has been good. I’ve seen a bunch of friends and eaten food cooked personally-for-me which was wonderful. Not to mention my INCREDIBLE iced cap last night… Plus, I have a car on the road!

Next steps: get a job (I have some prospects, including some Pharmacy related, which is good), and STUDY FOR THE PCATs. Oh, joy.

Standard summer plans include going to camp and helping with VBS.

Am still waiting for my final letter grades, but for now, I’m worry free. It’s a nice feeling. :)

These will be my last 100 words from Hinton James 745. I just need to finish packing (assuming it all fits, which, at this point, is not guaranteed), check out with Fred (early, because he forgot he had an exam), eat lunch, and then I’m headed to the airport.

Am crossing my fingers for two things: That I didn’t fail my finals and that my suitcase weighs under 50 pounds so I don’t have to worry about what I’m going to do with the things that don’t fit. Haha.

K, shutting down the computer now. Till the fall, then, Carolina. <3

Last day of classes for my freshman year. English, Chem, and Spanish final. It wasn’t too awful, actually. Spent some time with the rugby girls who were doing Fifth in the Pit. Love them all, am seriously going to miss Fun Size so much next year.

Went to dinner with Katie, Hannah, Matthew, and Roommate at Red Robin. So delicious. Free ice cream and music and pictures after. What could be better? A great last day of school, honestly.
I’m going to be so sad to leave here. I already miss people and I’m still here.

I bought books today. I love buying books that I’m genuinely excited to read. It makes me happy in the dorkiest way possible. I got the new Sarah Dessen book (love her) and the first Harry Potter book in Spanish, just because they had it and it was only 10 dollars. :) Love it.
